I used to play Uncharted Waters Online and sail across all over the world. Uncharted Waters Online reflects the real world, which is why I liked this game. The current changes over time. Quests are based on historical events. Someone invented a navigation program that depicts this game and the current. Playing this game gave me the feeling that I'm actually living the era of eighteen century.

Spice trade is the way in which I made a virtual living. I bought spices such as nutmeg and mace from South Asia, Amboyna in particular, and sold them in Europe. While bringing spices, I tried not to encounter pirate users. With their nicknames shown in red, pirates usually hunt other users at the left side of Africa. Because it is a must-pass route for people who bring spice to Europe. If I get lucky, I can finally sell spices with a profit margin of 200%. Sooner or later, I could buy expensive, fancy ships.

New ships enabled me to sail much faster and explore the virtual world. I have virtually been to Mayan Pyramids, Egyptian Pyramids, Niagara Falls. I have tried different routes to go to places. In this game, I was Portuguese. From Portugal, the virtual home, to Asia, the real home, I could try three different routes: 1. the normal way that passes Africa, India, and Asia, 2. using the Northeast Passage that passes Antarctica, Asia 3. using overland at the Middle East, which includes passing Persian Gulf, India, and Asia. With navigation and my new ships, I was able to travel all around the world when I couldn't in the real world.
